Launch of the new Gem website

Good news: Gem is getting its own website! It brings everything happening around Gem together in one place online.

The first entries for the cake-for-a-certificate challenge are coming in as well. Curious what that is about? Read on below.

Until now, Gem had no central place where municipalities and other interested parties could easily find information. Information was scattered, hard to reach and therefore not easy to find.

That is why we are launching the new Gem website on 9 July, during the Gem Kwartaalupdate. On this website you will soon find:

  • Information about what Gem is and what it offers
  • The latest developments and news updates about Gem
  • Information on how your municipality can connect and take part in Gem

After the summer the site will be expanded further, including the option to subscribe to and unsubscribe from the newsletter.

With the new website we now have one central place for everything around Gem. That matters because of our ambition to support the Gem community in scaling up now. Our goal is for more and more municipalities to benefit from Gem — because together it works better!

Cake for a certificate!

Celebratory cake with the text ‘Gem is er voor álle inwoners en dat vieren we!’ (Gem is there for all residents, and we're celebrating that!)

We reported earlier that the first three municipalities to take Gem live successfully — digitally accessible and certified — get treated to a large cake.

Not only because they are the first, but above all because they show that inclusive public services are possible in practice.

The first municipalities have already come forward. And you can still take part!
