Looking back on the first Gem Kwartaalupdate

Signing of the collaboration agreement for Gem

Yesterday we signed the collaboration agreement with the VNG and the Gem front-runner municipalities. With this, the VNG confirms its support for Gem. What began as an initiative from practice has grown into a broad collaboration between municipalities and the organisations involved. Yesterday afternoon also saw the first Gem Kwartaalupdate. Here is an impression.

Looking back on the first Gem Kwartaalupdate

Yesterday afternoon we came together at ICTU in The Hague. With more than 75 participants from over 20 municipalities and from our partners BZK, TNO, ICTU, VNG, ECP and VU Amsterdam, it was a full and energetic afternoon.

After plenary presentations on developments around Gem and GPT-NL, we dived into a demo carousel. In small groups, those present got to know the digitally accessible chatbot IDA, Gem 2.0, GPT-NL, AI-Land and Answer quality. And AI & Speech as the ‘spraakmaker’ — Dutch for a talking point, and a pun on speech.

Once a demo had been heard, the gong sounded and everyone moved on to the next one.

There was plenty of inspiration, good conversation and fresh ideas for the next steps for Gem. The afternoon closed with drinks.

Many thanks to everyone who came, for their involvement.
